Welcome to Deathmatch, the new sci-fi skirmish game from NeverRealm Industry! Take control of teams of highly specialized fighters and lead them to victory in the arena. Your mission is to capture objectives, hold sectors, and, of course, decimate the opposing team. But be on your guard: the arena is full of surprises, and even death is often nothing more than a brief interruption on the road to victory!
The game begins
Deathmatch is played with teams of 3-7 miniatures. Players freely assemble their teams and adapt them to the mission, terrain, and play style before each game. Clear rules and flexible team composition allow for quick starts without sacrificing tactical depth. Positioning, timing, and decisions on the field are the focus, while random factors have been deliberately reduced. Instead of classic dice mechanics, the game completely dispenses with dice and uses a so-called RNG deck – a deck of cards with values from 0 to 9. This keeps chance controllable, predictable, and tactically relevant, without unpredictable extreme values.
Each match is further enhanced by changing power-ups and supporting gadgets. These appear in the arena during the game and can significantly increase mobility, control, or lethality—forcing players to constantly adapt their tactics. Varied scenarios, different factions, and diverse equipment options ensure that no two games are alike and that each encounter offers new tactical challenges.
There are currently three factions to choose from: Phalanx, human fighters with military discipline and modern equipment; Anaimaktos, highly advanced combat robots from Mars; and Organon, technologically advanced humans whose bodies have been optimized with cybernetic implants. Another faction is also in development: Shelzahav, an alien race of Aiudi seeking a new home on Earth.
