For many centuries, slaves were a common sight in the noble houses of Elendis. When slavery was finally abolished by the reforms of the legendary Grand Caliph Thasir II, many magically gifted princes of the Desert Empire began summoning air creatures to perform tasks that were too difficult or dangerous for ordinary people. In battle, too, the air servants often form the front line of the air summoners. They are reliable warriors whom no enemy of the island realm should underestimate.
